Lesson 3 of 3 · 3 min read
Consent and the warehouse
A warehouse makes consent easier to respect, not harder: the choice is applied once, where the data arrives, instead of in every tag separately.
- Collect
- Store
- Use
- Activate
One decision, applied everywhere
When collection runs through the client’s own server, the visitor’s answer is checked there. What may be stored is stored; what may not is dropped before it reaches the warehouse or any platform.
Declined does not have to mean invisible
Where the client’s legal basis allows it, visits without consent can be counted anonymously, without cookies or personal data, so the client still sees how much traffic a campaign brought.
A record that can be checked
Because consent states are stored with the data, the client can show what was collected and on what basis. That is reassuring for them and for anyone who asks.
Key takeaways
- Consent is applied once, where the data arrives.
- Anonymous counting can show volume without tracking people.
- Stored consent states make the setup checkable.
For your marketing agency
A setup that respects consent by design is one you can recommend to every client without hesitation.
